2021/02/05 ~ Death's Grip Never Lessens

Cheyenne Seaman 2003 (Philadelphia)

Death's grip never lessens.
Those left behind forever mourn the dead.
Let this pen be my needle
And these words of ink forever be my thread.

Make your life, like water, a constant legacy
For once the hour is struck, irreversible are the hands of time.
Put your life into a bottle. Let it out at sea.
Maybe someday it'll be worth millions of dimes.

Shattered into a million pieces,
Guess what your heart is worth.
Searching for Love and Life in dark places.
Death welcomes all upon his hearth.
