Frozen

Peter S. 1988 – 2004 (United States)

Is it just me here on my lonely throne?
Is it true that I'm solemnly alone?
If I am, what are these voices I hear?
The ones that sound so far, yet so near.
How long will I be surrounded by no one?
How far must I go to feel the warmth of the sun?
My skin, my bones, they get colder every day.
But perhaps now I can keep the chaos at bay.

I look at my reflection, is this truly me?
If it is, then who are the other monsters I see?
They follow me, them trapped with me too.
But I surely know there's nothing I can do.
Why must the cold visit so often?
Why am I not allowed a lonely coffin?
Through my grasp, weak and cold
I acknowledge that I forever stay old.
Never fading, year by year.
No longer tarnished by the depths of fear.

A path I walk, of memories, lost.
Have I already been taken by the frost?
How much longer must I live?
Oh, for love, anything I'd give.
Please forgive me for the road I've chosen
Please let go of my soul that's frozen
