Knowledge seems to have deserted me
The Truth feels vague
I always feel but today I'm stone cold
Today I'm a robot
What's happened to me?
Who stole my heart as I lay asleep in the night?
My creativity is blocked
Answers I once easily called upon
Have in themselves become questions
What's happened to me?
Who stole my brain as I lay asleep in the night?
I'm afraid
Have the forces that be, who endlessly I challenged
Who endlessly I questioned
Gotten fed up with me
Have they reduced me back to the ashes I am
Oh! What cruel fate
Indeed, it was a hopeless end
A hope for a better future
A hope to be unique
A hope for glory and honor never seen
Oh! I'm sorry
I just wanted to play the game
Cause I needed the name
Not the fame
I just wanted the glory not the power
But have I overplayed my impulses
Have I crossed the line between glory and power
Have I sought for powers and answers beyond this world
Powers and answers that a man can access only if he be dead
Oh! If in these times, I could find my rhymes
If these block could be unlocked
And from it the wells of everlasting creativity flow
Then shall I ever drink from its wells and thirst for nothing more
Then shall I honour creativity in all her special moments
Lest she hide her glory from me again
