What More

Melvin Cain Jr 1988 (Florence, SC 29501)

what more can be asked from a man who gives his all
even down to his knees to point of a fall
it's like i try i try but why oh why
feels like thoughts just fly just fly
away with an instance no memories
losing in life making all enemies
relying on only me to find my way
when spoke of nothing to say
living life trying not to let life live me
using all the wisdom that life has given to me
but its like no use is it all to see
rejected in society as a felon tried all i could be
what more can i speak of
what more can i see within love
giving more than is asked for yet still what more
drained as a faucet until there isn't any more
what more is asked of me i see i do
again no more a clash of me the truth
or should i say the last of me with questions of how much what more could i give as if life itself wasn't even enough
