You are the sparkle in my eye,
the freedom in my speech,
the energy in my laughter,
for now and ever after.

You are the wind beneath my wings,
a cushioner when I land,
the hand giving meaning to my direction,
and in failing health, my resurrection.

You are the sun lighting my morning,
the motivation filling my day
when darkness covers the promise of new light
giving me new hope with which to fight.

Our love will last through the direst straits
