You may not be wrong

Ronnie L. Ponder Sr 1949 (Dekalb)

If your thinking that your love
It's too great to last forever
If your thinking tat someday
She may be gone
If your thinking it's just to good to last forever
Then let me be the first to say
Buddy, you may not be wrong
 That's what I once believe
Look where I am now
Look what her love has done to me
Living with a broken heart and alone
I thought I had given her
everything she could ever want
Now believe me when I say
Buddy, you may not be wrong
 So take my advice friend
Smell the roses while their in bloom
Take nothing for granite
things can certainly go wrong
So next time she says she loves you
Cross your fingers and prey
don't think someday she'll leave you
Cause Buddy You may not be wrong
