The Light

Ronnie L Ponder Sr 1949 (Dekalb, Texas)

I never told, for I did not know,
Until I pieced together this puzzle I hold.
I remember the dark , dark, so dark like night.
Then I saw a glimmer of Light.
The light, got bright so bright.
Toward the end of the tunnel I could feel the heat from the light. So warm so bright.
Then I was at the light, the most wonderful man stood there, all dressed in white so bright.
but he was pointing to the dark not at the light.
He said, please go back from where you did start.
But never forget the tunnel, the end that shown so bright
Never forget That I am the warmth and the light.
Then, when you have truly completed your work for me,
Only then I'll allow you to the Warmth and thru me to the light.
