Lecherous North Winds
T.A. Dieringer 1960 (VA)
Is their treachery in the word lechery?
Is it just a fleeting thought, like a Sailor's Knott slapping the mizzen in that rhythmic way;
Trying to control those treacherous North Atlantic winds?
Aye, treacherous be the waves, beating on the ships keel.
Lecherous be the winds tearing at her sails.
The smell of that salty ocean fills then freezes your lungs.
From that lecherous cold north wind gone horribly wrong.
