The Struggle Within

Brenda K Ramirez 1961 (Tx)

Set me free
The need to be
The need to feel
With this pain I am real
A hurt so good
To let go if only I could
Torture of body and of soul
Pleasure of pain seeking one's goal
To run with nowhere to hide
To seek and not find
Set me free, set me free
Dragging, pulling, tearing at me
Fight for my soul, guard my heart
The struggle within tearing me apart
Living just for dying
Life full of sighing
Living just for you
Life being an azure hue
Let it be captured, let it be
Set me free, set me free
