Solitude in the afternoon’s bright sunshine

The sun with its blinding brightness
   gave the warm current in the early afternoon.
However, the trees around gave shades and comfort
   with the blow of air on occasion.
Though it gave a picture of dullness as the
   surroundings were hushed, it equated to some
   extent to solitude.
The two dogs seemed to be taking part in the picture
   with all the mood.
As they lay on the ground, they showed satisfaction
   without their barks or any sound they had for long.
The trees’ shadow near the house was the dogs’ shade
   as they enjoyed the afternoon.
The woman in the house expressed tranquility
   with the distinctive light on her face, as she enjoyed
   a session in her crochet once more.
