10 foot tall”

“When I was young, I knew it all,
I lived like I was 10 feet tall,

No one could ever tell me how
If I knew then what I know now

I’d shut my mouth and use my ears
Instead, I wasted many years

When your young, what you don’t know
Is just how fast your life will go

Never let regrets outweigh
Good memories to be made each day

It’s not too late to work things out
Isn’t that what love’s about?

More regrets we need not make
Life’s too short for Heaven’s sake

My last wish, to see my kids
Regret no more the wrong I did

For if they harbor hate for me
I fear their souls shall not be free

I now live like I’m 5 feet tall
I know much more yet still not all

One last thing I want to learn
Before I rest within my urn

Is how to let my kids all know
How much I’ve always loved them so”
