The forgotten letter

The other day I was looking for something, can't remember what it was now, when I was searching in a drawer for it, I came across some of your things and as I set them aside, I saw a letter folded up. The envelope was sealed and on the front it said "open when ready." The writing looked familiar,  from someone I once knew in the past, so I opened the envelope and I began reading it and this is what it said:
"If you are reading this then you went searching for something because you finally became lost and needed help finding your way back. Well let me tell you right now, you are on the way back to finding what you are looking for. I am guessing right now you are hurting, don't know what to do and probably thinking you can't go on but I know you are better than that. Take these words I'm about to say and use them find yourself. You probably turned into a person that wasn't you and have been like that for a while but guess what, you have started to find your old self, just by finding this letter. Its time now for you to pick yourself up and dust off that old self and become that man you once were. Be that strong, confident, amazing person that you have always been but started hiding. Be that person you were always meant to be. I know you can do it, I believe in you. The reason I know all this is because the person who wrote this letter was you."
