I Cry
Marcus Powell 1980 (Memphis, Tennessee)
As I sit here in this dark room
My heart is totally consumed
With the thoughts of you
You walked out of my life
You had no words to say
I never knew it would end up this way
All I can seem to do is fall to my knees and pray
That one day your love will return
Just as it went astray
Tears begin to roll down my face
I feel so alone and the thought of you
Can't seem to be erased
It's like it came out of nowhere
The end of our love
Our forever was betrayed
Why do I cry
I cry
I cry
I cry
