Just Not Right

Akilah Babb 1985 (Bronx)

The evil things I've seen
Is just not right
Constant stomping slamming
Or heavy throwing over me
Then Management did not inform me
That this building was
St.Barnabas Hospital Supportive Housing
Not realizing the lines of my well mental
Spiral being lines you were crossing
Why would you think to do this to me?
Most of all, to the Christ Jesus who
Died for you at Calvary?
I declined your program because
I am not mentally ill New York City
You allowed this to happen
Endangering my life
This evil move wasn't right
Getting thousands of dollars
From me every month
But how I've been treated in here sucks
Why should I have run behind you
To get my apartment repaired
Since I moved in here I've been harassed
Lord, how long will this crime before
Your throne last?
