Water

She stood before her Creator
Crushed with dejection and self pity
It is time I faced the truth she said
That I have no real personality .
No hues have I, no taste or beauty
No way to assert my individuality.
I take the shape of where I am poured
The vessels, ground, the cups that hold

The truth is
My weakness is
That very flexibility
My adaptability
My fluidity .

Said her Creator with a smile
But don't you see dear
That, what makes you worthwhile
Is that ability
To find your way through Earth’s rigidity
And to give back to it its vitality
To challenge even a rock’s immortality
Over time the sands its new reality .
