The Struggle.

I got stuck in the muck early in life, got stabbed with a knife teaching the soul a lesson of fragility, life hanging on a thread easily snipped if you got tripped.

I Learned to fight or die, to see with my eyes, feel with my mind neglected the heart, no place for it in the dark. I walked in the shadows watched the hustle, anticipated the gamble got out before the tussles; watched them get scrambled.

I searched for a meaning to the struggle never found an answer my mind could juggle. I started to feel a rage within started writing on a page where the ink would never fade always carrying a blade

. I looked to God prayed, never answered what a shame but who could I blame, it just fed the flames. I was taught the best lesson life could give from the streets, how to survive, strive and start to thrive, the struggle made me alive.
