Twinkle twinkle counting stars

sitting on the porch step right in front the door
darkness starts to fill the sky and we notice there is more
one by one you point them out as you begin to see
twinkles start to fill the sky. and you point them out to me.
grandma there's a twinkle and grandma sees a twinkle on your face
the twinkle in your eyes show your purity and grace.
as it begins to get more cold out grandma scoots you close
I put my arms around you and I share with you my coat.
Now every time I here the song twinkle little Star my eyes begin to fill with tears even though I know your not too far.
so every night I go out look up to where they'd be
and wonder are you also counting twinkles like you once would do with me.
Then Grandma prays to God to make sure that you know just how much I miss you and how I love you so
