My one sided love

I hoped for something which never came my way.
Things I would love to hear but could never say.
Waited endlessly for happiness just to make it through the day.
My love was strong it did not fray.

I put your happiness always before mine
Imagined a life with you so perfect and fine
Never got a signal or even a sign
Always dreamt of you being my Valentine

Made you the centre of my world when there was so much going around.
But not once did I hold you down or kept you bound.
My intentions were clean and I stood my ground.
In my overflowing emotions I always drowned.

Time stopped but the calendars moved on.
Those moments I had are now all gone.
No matter how much I try, towards you Iam always drawn
Explained to my heart a million times but somehow it still holds on.

It hurts it surely does pain.
But I can't tell you this coz you will think I am insane.
So lost about you I feel bound with a chain.
No matter how hard I Try to get your attention it is all in vain.

I wish you be happy, I wish you all the best.
Hope you could consider my name atleast among the rest.
Those few moments and memories I have Ill hold them close to my chest.
To have a life without you is very difficult to digest.

My feelings for you were genuine it was never made up.
Remember my love for you was very true and I never gave up.
