The War Within

My demons have no idea
Who they are fucking with

The pull at me
Grab, push, and pull
Sometimes I succumb
And let them devour me whole

But not today
Another part of me has awoken
That is more powerful
Than the first

It is the light of their enemy
The light from the Higher kind
It laughs at them
As it rises above

I can survive
On only a shred of this light
But today it's so much greater
I hope their ready for a fight
