Love of the Ocean
TommyD 1957 (Ft. Lee)
Lover of the Ocean
Moonlight shines it's beauty light
On aqua waters lovely plight
Universal solvent upon this Earth
Without the presence of it's birth …
Life on the planet could not to be found
And man would not stand on solid ground
Marine life , Sea life , plants galore
The fish that fill it's hallowed shore
Microorganisms , Bacteria too
Brings phytoplankton into view
Whales and Dolphins, Otters and Seals
Breath the air while they're eating their meals ...
While other species cannot consume
And oxygen has it's impending doom
Saline , fresh water , salt water too
Consist in contrast with notorious blue
Man still fears the beckon calls
But goes to challenge tempestuous squalls
Ocean chronicles , of unbelief
Stories told of impending grief
Vastness fills our feeble minds
To challenge the water's great design
Matter and Matrix , the Mother of life
I love the Ocean and I welcome it's strife
