Trunk Life

Whack Whack Whack
                                                 THUNK!
The noises I hear daily from my trunk
I live my life in fear of being cut down
What could I have possibly done wrong?
All I do is provide you life
You know that thing called Oxygen
                                     Yeah, that is right
I stand tall like a skyscraper you see in New York
                               My arms stretch out long
When I look up, I see the clouds smile and wink at me
They never cease to let me down
Unlike people who cut me down
Turn me into paper and use me for wood
Kids climb on my back like monkeys in a tree
                              I slowly start to break
I am here to provide not be taken advantage of
Let my arms flow in the breeze
                    Please give me some peace
