Take a message to Oyin my love

Kadiri Mercy 1989 (Kaduna)

If you see Oyin my love
Please tell her I have gone to the city
In search for greener pasture
Tell her not to cry
I would come back for her.

Tell Oyin my love I am doing this for our future and the future of our unborn children
I promise to make it big
So I can take care of her and our kids
Tell her I would make her proud.

Tell Oyin my love that every time I go to sleep thinking about her
Tell her I miss her
Tell her I wish to return to her
But I must first secure a future for us

Tell Oyin my love that working in the city is not easy
Tell her I wake up as early as 4am just to beat traffic
And I get home each day at 11pm at night because I was stuck in traffic.

Tell Oyin my love each time I feel discouraged
The one thing that keeps me going
Is knowing I will be with her someday soon.
