Near the Divinity

Of life’s bubble natures,
How truly it's said.
Now a new-born child,
 Now a grown-up lad.
A moment passes, and this mortal frame,
Is breathless lying dead.
Oh! This inevitable hour,
Our life could surpass.
Had we cared for poor souls,
Suffering in this world alas.
Had we suffered ourselves and soaked,
The tears of the anguished heart.
Nay, it’s never too late to mend,
Let by gone be by gone.
Let form suffer, yet feature remain,
Cherished in memory of their own.
Believe, you are near the divinity,
Owing to this nobility alone
