A Poem For MaMa

MaMa, I won't try to explain my life away
You see and hear what happens every day
There are no songs to sing, no words to say
All I can do is bow my head and pray.

I pray for God to hold you, as I wish I could
I pray that you feel the love that an Angel should
I pray you're at peace, never again to be misunderstood
I pray your soul is happy Mama, for this world you were too good.

You once were here but now you have flown free
And my heart still shattered as I fall to me knee
You were the best that any one woman could be
But you had to close your eyes, so Jesus you could see.

I still don't know how to live without you
I have absolutely no idea what I should do
I know I'll find the strength to push through
The other thing I know is Mama, I'm so missing you.

Never understood true hurt, until God called you home
Now I'm lost, I wake up but you are still gone
I know you love me but had to leave me alone
You are now a beautiful Angel, standing beside the throne.
