Ode to My Health

Kenneth Kee 1947 (Japan)

Ode to My Health

Health with you I mean to live
Since you alone joy can give.
We can all be a little more giving
Stay active, eat well and enjoy living.

I will never far from my house stray
Here I will spend my night and day
Living here in comfort and joy
Life to the fullest enjoy

Happy the man, whose wish and care
Is to breathe nothing but fresh air
Living a life most refined
In good health and peace of mind,

Eat healthy, sound sleep by night,
Always happy, honest and upright
A simple life free from disease
With meditation, always at peace

Then let me live, healthy, unseen
In a world that is free and green
Then unlamented let me die
Happy to say to my family goodbye
