UNWANTED WORLD
a poem by Eric R. Selorio, USA

It was a dark and furious night
With thundering echoes of an angered sky,
Lightning followed with a shattering might
Pounded the heavens that started to cry;
The wind was blowing with mighty force
Like throwing pebbles and hardened rocks
Against the walls of my shattered shack.
As the sounds of frightened and tortured souls
Blasting throughout the dark and furious night,
Make me summon my worried thoughts.
Is that an evil that berth in me?
That brought chaos and unwanted world!
How can I to this evil be freed?
And cleansed my soul of lust and greed,
I ask you demon that larks my soul
Flee and be gone and let me be
That I shall be a newborn!
And on that day that I shall leave
I shall be happy and my soul be freed.
