Daddy's Home

I am patiently waiting
While out of the window I stare
My daddy is gone for a while
I do not remember to where

Sometimes I can see him coming
I remember his car from before
But then I get so disappointed
As I see it's the man from next door

I hope he isn't angry with me
I caused him and mommy to fight
I really do love and miss daddy
I dream about him every night

I hope he will be real excited
He hasn't seen me since I was two
But now I'm another year older
There are several new things I can do

Some day I know that he'll come back
Though he never calls on the phone
I can't wait to see how surprised he is
When he hears I can say, "Daddy's Home!"
