Father's Wings

Fly father, fly; up with the clouds
Soar with the angels above
Whisk with the winds over the earth
In the sky we know you so love

Fly father, fly; like a wonderful plane
That watches the ground from afar
Whirl with the gusts that level the grass
And cradle the air where you are

Fly father, fly; spread out your wings
And surf the breeze as it blows
Float like the feather up in the air
And ride on the wind as it flows

Fly father; fly; into God’s arms
For he has taken your soul
Fly to the place as sacred as he
Where you can be spiritually whole

Remember us, father; your families below
And keep close our love for you
Help us father, as we learn to fly;
For someday we’ll have our wings, too.
