Curiosity

So close to perfection, every section of our "eleven" was almost like heaven

Assumptions of my corruption caused disfunction, leaving us with nothing

Love collected dust, to you thrust was a must, I needed to gain your maker's trust

How sweet of you, wanting to sweep me off my feet, unprepared and incomplete

Gain was loss, you proved your love at a cost while I proved purity wasn't lost

Stale love unzipped became a need for new compassionate companionship

So strong but so gone, so sick of proving others wrong and hearing the same song

Received a blessing, but I let it be, let it live free with the other fish in the sea

Pressure when I didn't even undress ya, but I bet ya, I was claimed to be “fresher”

Unfinished and undone, the real fun hadn't begun, now it's free to anyone

Music to make, called out like I was a fake, had me feeling like I made a mistake

Helped me let a blessing slip away, but I don't regret that day, come what may

I relieved my heavy chest, now my mind can rest, what occurred was for the best....
I'm guessing, but one truly never knows, I'll just go with the flow like the wind blows

A rested mind full of what ifs and whys, I'll disguise and hide what lies inside

Still there lives a little animosity, some might call it pride, but I know it's curiosity
