Side by Side

Side by Side

I share with you this special day
With great joy and pride
I see us as strong women,

Standing side by side

Because of your love and your courage
I became a mother
I am now able to celebrate this day as I do no other

Standing side by side

Three strangers feeling our way through the unknown
From which three friends have grown

Standing side by side

The road travelled has not always been easy
Nor without sorrow or pain
But nonetheless a journey with great potential for gain

Standing side by side

All around the world Mothers are celebrated today
With flowers and cards and even a breakfast tray

Standing side by side

For me it is a time to celebrate
The day it took three of us to create

Standing side by side
