Can I Just Let Go?

Tasha Pass 1981 (Alabama)

It's easier to seem okay during the day. I can fake a smile, and even think about what to say. People think I'm funny, but I'm just hiding myself. If anyone knew the real me, there'd be no one left.

It's nighttime that gets me. No one is around. Instead of feeling relaxed, I'm just feeling down. My mind won't shut off, but my eyes won't stay open. I'm just thinking about me and how I feel so broken. I cry the silent tears so that no one else will know how much I wish that I could just let go.
