Awoken Assassin

Libra Mayhew 1979 (Nashville, TN)

We don't look at the hearts
For a heart is fragile
It's breakable and cannot be amended.

And yet, unless someone understands
what it means to tear a vessel in two
and not care, that person is cold and bleak.

After so long, after so many years
When a man thinks he can do it
When he feels that he knows what he's doing
An Awoken Assassin that he does not want to be.

To steal and slice the one thing
That makes them who they are
Explains their existence
Until you understand the very depths from within

You either become the source
The center of everything
What it means to not be so stealthy
And ruin what matters to them

Then shall the Awoken Assassin
That slice what little hope
That one has would understand
When the enemy has his eye
On what is most precious

Will one day induce sleep
Upon the Assassin that does not steal
That does not take away
What makes that person whole
Then he will see, that everything is precious.

Precious to one who knows
Precious to one who understands
When you understand it, so shall you also know it. Then your soul will emerge to the truth.

Libra Mayhew

This is my own poem, from the depths of my heart. It is my original piece of art. I write what I mostly feel such as this. I speak how I see people, how others just do not understand someone, and yet, they think they do. Try to learn to know where the other is coming from, otherwise, you miss the true ending and continue to end things prematurely. more…
