At His Cross

As I stood out on the mountain,
A crowd had gathered there;
To watch the death of Jesus,
His pain, no one would share.

The cross was full of splinters,
Like knives upon his back;
As He cried out to the Father,
"Oh God! Forgive this act!"

The ground began to rumble,
With the thunder in the sky;
When He cried out, "It is finished!"
The guilt, the sin, ´twas mine.

Now Jesus  is in Heaven,
And He wants to have you there;
Just accept Him as your Savior,
As you take some time in prayer.
