The road not taken yet

Don't sit and think of days gone by,
Of times you have regret,
Don't say "but for the road not taken",
It is only "the road not taken yet."

In life we have many a journey,
Paths cross and intertwine,
Hearts get bruised...feel so used,
For instance; this heart of mine.

So tell me not of "wish I hads",
where you and I loved so true,
Fill my ears with "going to do's",
The words I want to hear from you.

Let us fear not this fabled path,
For it's there long as we have breath,
It's only "the path not taken",
When you are taken in death.
