What If?

Hiba Jamal 2002 (Karachi)

What if the trauma of someone's death hit you hard, would you be able to bring yourself back again, my ward?

What if you can't bravely express a difficult truth,
would you go on telling a lie instead of being ruth?

What if you become dispirited if things don't go with the flow,
would you fight for them or make them blow?

What if your voracity brings you away from someone, would you exclude yourself from this world for that one, Hun?

What if your immersion brings you in a world where there is no peace,
would you just sit back and get a cease?

What if you are indulged in doing blasphemy,
would you fear God or face Him calmly?
