No atheists in a foxhole

NO ATHEISTS IN A FOXHOLE  
When the artillery is bellowing all around you !
The bodies in a line !
The helpless fear surrounds you !
You feel your out of your mind .
Then prayers come from nowhere !
You ask not to die !
You'll find a sudden peace in the din of silence !
You will not wonder why !
For you know that in the morning , you have survived the night .
No atheist in a foxhole , can live through this bloody fight .
When they count the bodies , and declare who's right or wrong ; the last standing will sing a victory song .
No atheist in a foxhole can ever truly pretend .
Something out there saved him .
Life can live again .
So , when your world is troubled , and you need a friend ; remember that foxhole , and how your knees would bend .
In your desperate timeless moments , know that you will survive .
Kiss the ground you walk on .
You are still alive !
If the day sky is blackened darker than coal , be brave , as no atheist in a foxhole .
