Smile In The Ghetto
Smile in the Ghetto 1960 (Oklahoma)
Never had to sleep in the streets, laid my head on fine satin sheets, when someone was hungry, could only afford pigs feet, I had the best of steaks to eat. Walking was just for exercise the chauffeur made sure I had my ride. Even in the ghetto there is a smile, so why do you frown you were born a princess child...
Glitz and glamour, silver and gold that's how your story is told, you lived your life in the land of milk and honey. God is good God is great, never thankful always ungrateful, your mama and granny was in every situation. Even in the ghetto there is a smile, so why do you frown you were born a princess child...
There you meet this man, you thought you could love and understand, he held a strong key to set your mind free with all the dope, coke you could smoke now you're found hanging with your neck in a rope... Didn't you know? You were born a princess child! (3.67 / 3 votes)
