Me, The Tree

Mark Anthony Schroettner 1967 (Bethlehem, PA)

If I was a tree
I will bloom like any other tree
I will bare fruit to all for free
Food for all
Minding my selfish ways.

I can be a home to all living beings
I can be protection against any storm
No matter what it is
Many of my kind can clean and purify the air
You will breathe much better with the pair
Oh precious air!
Can we sustain life without clean air?

I can try to satisfy all your needs
Will I be appreciated for doing your deeds?
You cut us down and forget about them and me
Do you know that I am a living tree?
