The steps

Hailey Silva 1993 (Sheridan, Wyoming)

As the sands of time slip through my fingers I find myself yearning for an adventure,
A magical mystery one has to make a journey to solve,
As each step brings me closer to an engery that is truly undeniable,
The Dread of unknowing pulls me back to a reality of false comforts,
Can I truly appreciate the desire to venture forth and capture the light?
How intriguing the thought of one to be utterly free,
Without boundaries,
Without fear,
Without inner doubt,
To be free to soar above the clouds that hold the dreams of so many,
To walk the steps towards complete peace,
With silence surrounding me on all sides,
Sweet smells of crisp petals still holding the morning dew,
I fearfully break these humanly chains,
With every step I gain clarity,
With every step I become the true me!
