Behind blue eyes

Hailey Silva 1993 (Sheridan, Wyoming)

Hidden beyond the river's edge,
I find myself slowly drifting away from reality,
A constant fear that hinges my very existence,
Questioning my surroundings,
Allowing myself to drift further and further into a fantasy that's not my own,
Will I find the path that I can walk freely without the burden of chains,
Can I climb this mountain to feel the sun kiss my face,
May I watch the Stars gently dance around the blue moon,
Well my heart guide my story to endless dreams,
Well the tears that fall from my eyes tastes sweet,
Perhaps someday soon I can emerge from this hidden spot,
Walk on to shore and find a place that welcomes me in,
People may look into my eyes and see the true me,
The one that is not hidden,
May my eyes tell the story of a dream that actually came true,
Behind blue eyes!
