Being

Oh that which I so much desire to be
Is all that I desire to be

So with the passion of 10, 000 burning Suns
I reached out for this
I felt a rush of adrenaline down my spines
As I took my flight to my very ambition
Great height, all I desired to be

But destiny intercepted
Behold I came nose diving like a hunting bird
But I was the haunted, taunted by my own very selfish desires
And with a thud I kissed the floor
Oh! What a great fall

I built my thoughts on humpty dumptism
But all that it is, and could be
Was all that was shattered
My dreams and ambitions
In my very before

Like Peter and Paul I flew away
But I came back crawling, broken as humpty dumpty
Before the king whose very order I disobeyed
So not even his kinsmen would fix me together again

But the merciful one took me, again
Remolded me and gave me new wings to fly
Such compassion he had for me
Even after failing him

My desires were calling at me, again
That weighed me down to porpoise
Slowed me down like Tortoise
And in them I got high but stagnant
Swimming in the pool of failure

No I won’t, neither would i
For Heaven had put on me
The garment of purpose
And wings to greater height

So now I know:
That which I so much desire to be
Is not all that’s meant to be
But to be who I’m meant to be
