The Earth Song

Geethika GV 2002 (Bangalore)

Ether happens every nook, high and low, all trace,

Even at the open or shut of the window on the face.

How impolite, no yearn for my consent,

Arrives and departs, as it likes present.

Escorted by its fellow

Blow,

I mind not,

For it savors the locks of my head and blesses my face, as sought.

Given hand, will appreciate the seasonal games.

But put off by the flames.

Comes in like pride, thinks he conquers, I wonder to call him mean.

Plenty his presence does no good, no man say any keen.

So man desires flow,

She makes merry of the throw.

But claims to be prophet and no queen,

Arrives and departs omnipresent, checks in with all being.

But go any place,

You shall not sustain long.

You still have to come home and chant the Earth song.
