There's A Love For Me

yesterday's a memory-I'll one day forget
tomorrow's a vision-I haven't seen yet
today is the moment, the time, and place
my future is now-so I stare it in the face
someone I once knew-stole away with my heart
and left me in a world that was falling apart
I had to face the nights in my lonely bed
with images and memories-spinning in my head
I know if I keep looking-one day I'll see
somewhere in the world-there's a love for me
I only know lonely is not the way to be
so I keep reaching, knowing-there's a love for me
too many times before-I fell apart at the seams
shattered were my hopes of seeing my dreams
now I keep my eyes open-seeking someone new
someone of honesty-a love to see me through
I won't give up-I'll ignore thoughts of misery
because I realize, still-there's a love for me
I look beyond sorrow and emotional poverty
knowing  I will find-there's a love for me
