I Never Say I Love You Enough
Donald James Kirby Von Koehler 1965 (Burien)
I never say I love you enough
It seems the years have passed me by faster than I thought they would,
It looks as though my life has changed more than I thought it could.
Looking back over the many times I had to start over time and time again,
In life it takes so much persistence even sometimes only to get a small win.
So many Valleys and Peaks have I faced so many long dusty roads I've seen,
I may not get around like I used to but I cherish where I've been.
So many friends have come and gone and have become part of memories,
That after time passes by as it eventually does they become part of my minds scenery.
I never say I love you enough It seems like my pride stands in the way,
I do feel it in my heart though very deeply in every day.
I never say I love you enough so I decided in this song,
I am determined to deliver the message so strong.
I know I've failed people at times and myself even more so,
I feel I could have done more but the doubts never did go.
Dreams though I did cherish I am still needing to pursue,
They always seem so far away in the sky so blue.
so as I had wished on many stars in my youth too many to count,
The ideals I had on the direction to take never really did amount.
Mountains seemed taller too high for me to ascend in my mind,
I believed those negative lies and traveled on so blind.
I never say I love you enough All you friends along the path,
At times my vision is blurry all I see is regrettable aftermath.
I never say I love you enough yet today is a good day to start,
It's never too late to show you care follow the lead of your heart.
