The Miracle Will Come

Jacqueline Campbell 1960 (Staunton VA)

Some nights the pain,
Keeps her up all night,
She wonders why,
She continues to fight.

No one can find,
The demon within,
That keeps her crying,
She can’t smile or grin.

She reminds herself,
Of the life she had,
Where did it go,
Her heart is so sad.

She prays each day,
For a miracle to come,
She never stops believing,
In the Father and the Son.

She is grateful for what,
He did not take away,
She still has mind,
She is not slipping away.

One day she will wake,
And just like the sun,
Feeling no pain.
Her miracle had come.
