Of splendor and truth

Mark cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

Fall like the stars
And rise to the night
As the lights subside
And the sun is removed
From view of you
Then replace the day
With the light of darkness
Of a night that never ends
As the heat of the day
Is a haze of days
That only the night
Can change into light
As stars that fall
As we rise to the night
And we enter the light
As the darkest of days
And the sun goes down
And sets in the West
Over the mountains of darkness
As the light of night
Returns in truth
And we walk away
To a new view
Of splendor and truth
