Can'T let go

Brown Sketchys 1995 (Amedzofe)

We were meant to be together,
Maybe now, then and forever
You Know I once loved you with my whole heart
And that indeed gave me a new start
I can't let go!

You are an epitome of Greatness
Without an iota of Madness
Just trying to take it steady
I can't let go, I'm not ready.

I also wake up each day with your smile on my mind
It's so beautiful to behold, so Soft and so Kind
Unless you getting addicted,
You're unpredicted

I can't let you go!
The idea of clutching to a dear one won’t wither,
Cos I still remember the first time we met;
The feeling of belongingness won’t fade,
Cos memories haven’t left me for a second;

With you time was meaningless,
And I can’t help but miss every part of it;
Days seemed the same and the weather always looked sunny,
For that first stare into my eyes gave me nothing but hope;

For a new chapter of love untold of;
You awoken life in my dead soul;
And you want to leave?
I can’t let go
Time passes by right before my eyes,
Like the swift winds of the monsoon

Yet memories are deeply embedded in my mind,
I can't seem to let go no matter how much I try to,
Like the priests clinging onto the horns of the alter,
Through the storm, wind and heavy rain,
I will withstand every pain.

I can't let go of you, because life is meaningless without you!
Grab my hand and never let go, because I can't let go.!
