In its end

Mark cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

In its end is a lucid night
That bends the fabric
Of space and a place
Of a time in light
Of darkness of the night
And in its end it begins again
Birthed throughout the universe
Of multiverse and lure
And that which warps
Through time
As space bends a face
Against those who replace us
As we go out
Like lights in the day
And a moon that fades
Only to rise upon the night
As we go out into the darkness
Like stars that fall
Into place and a view
Of those who knew
