The light of the moon

Mark cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

The light of the moon
Falls upon the sun
In both day and night
As the moon passes away
And the sun fades
Into another day
And a night that strays
Into a year, a month and weeks
Where the world peaks
In heights and lows
Of cycles of tides
That go out at night
And return in the day
For all who escape
A place and time
Of both present and future and past
Which returns at last
But first begins again
Born into a world
That breeds scenes
Of views of schemes
That are chronological
Of that which is illogical
Of ill fated time
