Loving

cheryl linde 1957 (Seattle)

In the quiet of the night
your light shines bright
and I see your face
it speaks to me of desire and pain
and I'm in love again
with your eyes and your voice
your gentleness is my peacefulness
I close my eyes and drift off to sleep
I dream of your touch but we're apart
and I can't touch your heart
with the loneliness I feel.
